Acne eraser injections
Acne injections, sometimes referred to as corticosteroid injections, typically involve the use of corticosteroid medications like Kenalog. These injections are a treatment option for certain types of acne, particularly cystic acne or severe inflammatory acne lesions.
Here’s how Kenalog injections for acne work:
Inflammation Reduction: Cystic acne lesions are deeply inflamed and can be painful. Corticosteroid injections help reduce inflammation rapidly.
Fast Resolution: The injection is administered directly into the acne lesion, and the corticosteroid works quickly to reduce inflammation and the size of the lesion. Many people see a noticeable improvement within a day or two.
Prevention of Scarring: By reducing inflammation and shrinking the acne cyst, corticosteroid injections can help prevent scarring that might occur if the cyst were to rupture or become more severe.
Dermal Fillers
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in our bodies. Filler can be placed in the cheeks and midface to replace the volume that we lose as we age, thus giving us a more youthful-looking face. Dermal fillers can also be used with the nose, tear troughs, and chin.
Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow’s feet become more apparent. The facial skin also stretches a bit, adding to this loss of facial volume. Other factors that affect the facial skin include sun exposure, heredity and lifestyle. Dermal fillers can:
Reconstruct contour deformities in the face
Improve the appearance of recessed scars
Soften facial creases and wrinkles
Enhance shallow contours
Plump lips
Decrease or remove the shadow of the upper lip
KYBELLA®
Kybella® is a deoxycholic acid-based compound. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally-occurring molecule that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath your skin, Kybella® causes the destruction of fat cells. This is a permanent treatment because once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. Many patients experience visible results in two treatments of 2 vials each, but up to four treatments may be needed depending on the area treated. Each treatment session may require up to 3 vials, depending on the area or how many areas are being treated. Treatment sessions should be spaced 6 – 12 weeks apart.
KYBELLA® is the only FDA approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells in the treatment area under the chin to improve your profile
Medical Grade Skincare
Medical grade skincare products are the purest form of the most quality ingredients at the right strength and combinations backed by clinical research studies.
Medical-grade skin care products are made to be a lot more potent and can only be purchased by a licensed healthcare provider who is able to prescribe medications. They have been developed and researched to the point that they have a sufficient amount of the active ingredient to actually make changes in your skin.
PDO Threads
Thread lifts involve Polydioxanone (PDO) threads that are a special medical grade thread that is made of protein. It can be used to improve sagging skin, improve facial definition, and promote collagen production for improved skin texture. It is a nonsurgical procedure that is done without incisions, using just punctures.
How Does a Threadlift Treatment Work?
Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are a special medical grade thread that is made of protein. PDO is shown to stimulate neocollagenesis (the production of new collagen in the skin). It also stimulates elastin and hyaluronic acid, both substances are key to maintaining firm, youthful looking skin. In the months following your treatment, results will continue to improve, peaking at around 6 months and lasting for 1-2 years as your own body produces collagen. The thread itself is completely biodegradable and dissolves within 12 weeks, after which new collagen has formed around the thread to continue to support results, maintaining a smooth and supple texture of the skin.
Is a Threadlift Safe?
PDO threads have over a decade long safety track record in surgery and wound closure. They have also been used for about 6 years in orthopedic surgery. PDO threads gained FDA approval in 2004.
What Happens During a PDO Threadlift Treatment?
During your consultation, your provider will first discuss with you your individual treatment plan and the type of results to expect. Prior to the procedure, topical or injectable anaesthetic is applied, after which threads are introduced into the skin through a fine needle – into either the skin itself, the muscle, or the subcutaneous fat. The treatment may result in an immediate improvement in appearance but the lasting results will develop over the following 3 months as the PDO stimulates neocollagenesis, increasing the amount of collagen in and under the skin. The appearance of the skin may be improved in terms of overall texture, becoming thicker, tighter and firmer.
RADIESSE®
RADIESSE® is composed of tiny, calcium-based microspheres suspended in a gel-like substance. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a biocompatible and biodegradable material that has been used in medical applications for many years, including dental and orthopedic procedures. When Radiesse is injected into the skin, it provides an immediate volumizing effect. This means that it can instantly add volume to areas of the face that have lost volume due to aging.
Sculptra
Sculptra® is an injectable solution that triggers the production of collagen, which helps rebuild the areas affected by age-related volume loss and sagging. After your Sculptra® treatment at Cimarron Aesthetics, collagen production gradually increases, making the volume-enhancing results of the treatment apparent over time. Sculptra® can help improve the appearance of sagging jowls, hollow temples, and diminished cheeks and creates a fuller, more youthful appearance. Sculptra® has longer lasting results than some other cosmetic dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvederm. The results can last for up to two years. In most patients a total of 6 vials is needed split between 3 treatments 6 weeks apart.
Semaglutide
Semaglutide promotes weight loss. It may also be used to maintain weight loss. It works by decreasing appetite. Changes to diet and exercise are often combined with this medication.
Semaglutide belongs to a class of medications known as glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, or GLP-1 RAs. It mimics the GLP-1 hormone, released in the gut in response to eating.
One role of GLP-1 is to prompt the body to produce more insulin, which reduces blood sugar (glucose). For that reason, health care providers have used semaglutide for more than 15 years to treat Type 2 diabetes.
SkinPen® microneedling
Microneedling is a procedure aimed to stimulate the body’s own collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines, pores, wrinkles, stretch marks, skin laxity, and scarring. Topical lidocaine, along with the high-speed automated needling motion, minimizes pain and discomfort. Our medical-grade micro needling is far more efficient than any needling/roller or manual procedure you can purchase at home. At home rollers cannot generate the same depth of microholes in the skin and will not yield the same consistent results.
Vitamin Injections
Vitamin injections enable direct delivery of key nutritional supplements including vitamins or antioxidants directly into the body through the muscle, where they can be rapidly absorbed and delivered through the body more efficiently.
Vitamin injections provide your body with essential nutrients that may be lacking in your diet. These vitamins help increase metabolism, increase immunity, suppress appetite, and reduce cravings for unhealthy snacks and foods.
Wrinkle Relaxers
What are Botox®, Dysport®, Daxxify®, and Xeomin®?
These products relax the muscles of the face and neck to diminish and prevent wrinkles.
Lines/wrinkles that are present on the face without expression are called static lines. The use of these products can prevent such lines from ever forming.
Results last about 3 months. Oftentimes, the skin will look better for longer than 3 months. However, we recommend treatment every 3 months so that old wrinkles don’t have time to reform and new ones don’t appear.
These products can also be used for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). All of these products, when used to treat excessive sweating, are all extremely effective.
These products are dosed differently, but the same number of injection sites are needed per treatment, the final cost is identical in most cases.
These products are made of the same protein but are manufactured by different companies. We have found all products to be very effective and we will help you determine which is the best for you.
