Matthew D. Hastings, DMSc, MSPAS, PA-C, FAAPA, FSDPA, FPDPA
Matthew is a board-certified Physician Associate (PA) and Doctor of Medical Science with more than 15 years of Dermatology experience and expertise. In the past, he served as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s (UPMC) Department of Dermatology where he specialized in Medical, Surgical, and Pediatric Dermatology. Matthew has also practiced as a first assist surgical PA in Mohs micrographic surgery. In addition, he was selected and honored to participate in numerous Advisory Boards and Speakers Bureaus. He was also appointed to UPMC’s Quality and Safety Committee and received multiple Excellence in Teaching Awards from his time mentoring and teaching students while at the university.
Matthew has been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Journal of the American Medical Association Dermatology. He is a Fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (FAAPA), Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (FSDPA), and the Pennsylvania Dermatology Physician Assistant Society (FPDPA) where he served as the Vice-President for 8 years. Matthew has continued his passion for teaching by serving as both a Lead Clinical Trainer and Chief Clinical Trainer for several other practices. He takes great pride in educating the next generation of aesthetic medicine providers.
Matthew is passionate about all things dermatologic and is committed to helping patients feel more comfortable and confident in their own skin. He prides himself on curating patient-centered experiences for all of his patients by utilizing a global consultation approach that addresses each individual’s cosmetic, aesthetic, and skincare concerns. Matthew has extensive experience and training with the administration of dermal hyaluronic acid fillers, neuromodulators, Sculptra, Radiesse, PDO threads, Kybella, lasers, wellness and weight loss services, and much more.
Carolyn B. Morrison, DO
Dr. Carolyn “Bridgett” Morrison was raised in southeastern West Virginia. After graduating from high school, she started volunteering with a local ambulance service while taking her undergraduate classes. She always knew she wanted to be a doctor but did not anticipate how much she would love working on the ambulance or in emergency services. She eventually became a full time paramedic. At that time, she also worked as a 911 dispatcher, an instructor, a county medical examiner, and volunteered with a local fire department. She found her passion for community service during those years.
Dr. Morrison grew up within a few miles of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) and always assumed she would end up going to medical school there. Osteopathic medicine seemed to her as the only logical approach in caring for others. She graduated from WVSOM in 2007 and chose a family medicine residency at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center due to the endless possibilities in primary care. After completing her residency, she has worked in various positions including emergency medicine, primary care, geriatric medicine, hospitalist, assistant professor, residency program director, and the Health Department officer and Medical Director of the Greenbrier County Health Department.
Professionally, Dr. Morrison’s passions include the residency program, medical missions, and community health and service. In her precious personal time, she enjoys working with her horses, hiking, gardening, and essentially all outdoor activities with her family. Dr. Morrison and Matthew grew up showing horses together and have been close friends for 30+ years. They share a love and commitment for medicine, education, their patients, horses, friends, and family.
